The Yangxi Social Welfare Institute, in Guangdong Province, is funded by Yangxi Township and upper government agencies. It was established in December 1999 and is currently the largest full-size non-profit social welfare organization in the area. Yangxi County is located southwest of Guangdong province. It is warm in winter, around 70 degrees. Since Yangxi is near the ocean, it produces rich marine products such as prawn, lobster, crab and sea salt.
