NO MORE PAPERWORK....it's all done.
We had visits from Jade's "Gamma" Judith and "Grandma" Glendora.
Jade helped her Dada teach disabled veterans how to surf... made new friends at the Zoo...and saw old friends Savanna and Erin at the yearly
Heartsent Adoptions picnic.
Jade spent time with "Aunt" Jody and finished up her first attempt at swim lessons and met baby Jack.

But some of the most important milestones are those on the calendar and in our hearts and memories. September 25th marked one year since we got our referral from the Chinese Government telling us that Jade was waiting for us in China. November 7th will be one year since Jade was handed to us and then became our daughter on November 8th. October 1st we sent the one year follow-up to China charting Jade's progress over the past 6 months. Last but not least, we received the State of California Birth Certificate listing us as Jade's parents. While the adoption paperwork may be over....the footwork is never ending.

Love the updates too...Congratulations on your 1 year anniversary on the 7th. We just celebrated our 2nd Gotcha day with our sweet Yangxi girl. Have fun.
Beautiful blog! I love it. What a wonderful book it will make when Jade gets older. Absolutely awesome - just like you all! Can't believe we've been back with our girls a whole year and we've only seen eachother maybe 3x since then. Let's plan a date.
Love and miss you. Hope to see you soon.
Melissa
